Rebuilding Nature
Project: Comprehensive website development, technical SEO optimisation, and ongoing maintenance for a major nature restoration initiative.

The Challenge
Rebuilding Nature required a secure, accessible, and fully responsive website to serve as a high-performance digital hub for its national nature restoration project. The core challenge was to build the site quickly alongside a parallel project (Blean Wildscape) and ensure it was highly SEO-ready, flexible for content updates, and aesthetically aligned with its environmental focus, particularly on dark backgrounds.
The Solution
The Juniper Studio provided an end-to-end service, covering the initial build through to ongoing content management and technical optimisation.
Phase 1: Initial Build & Strategy
We provided a comprehensive proposal, outlining the development of an SEO-ready, accessible website using a flexible Prismic CMS for content management and green hosting. The project was mapped out with a clear, staged timeline: Discovery & Research (2 Weeks), Design & Content Strategy (3 Weeks), Development (4-5 Weeks), and Testing & Launch (2 Weeks).
Phase 2: Content & Technical Optimisation
As the client team populated content, we conducted a meticulous end-to-end page review. This involved optimising all SEO meta titles and descriptions, adding alt text to images, and making necessary technical adjustments to content components, such as updating placeholder text and the footer navigation structure. We also made branding adjustments, requesting a new Typekit font code (Indivisible 500 weight) to improve aesthetic balance and accessibility on the site's dark theme.
Phase 3: Stakeholder & Logo Management
We managed the complex requirement of displaying various corporate partner and supporter logos, including those for Conservation Collective and Natural England. This required continuous technical adjustment to address:
- Visibility issues on dark backgrounds.
- Ensuring correct sizing and proper visual hierarchy.
- Making branding decisions, such as reverting to an older version of a logo for better visual balance on smaller screens.
Phase 4: Ongoing Enhancements & SEO Support
We provided continuous support for content structure, updating the Team Member display to show five board members per row for improved layout.
Results & Client Impact
The Rebuilding Nature website successfully launched as a robust, high-performance platform. The integration of the flexible Prismic CMS has empowered the client team to efficiently populate and manage a high volume of environmental content.
The meticulous attention to technical SEO, accessibility, and branding consistency (including the complex logo management) ensures the platform not only looks professional but is highly discoverable and aligns with the project's green commitment. The structured approach to development provided a solid foundation for future growth and content expansion.
