Another great project worked on during 2024 was the VirtualZ brochure site. VirtualZ is a new concept offering bespoke virtual spaces for every requirement. A real collaboration piece where the team could show all the features their solution offers.

The Challenge

Virtualz required a professional, high-impact website to showcase their virtual tour services. The project's main challenges were:

  1. Rapid Deployment: Launching the website quickly to coincide with a critical industry show.
  2. Matterport Integration: Overcoming significant technical hurdles when embedding Matterport models, which initially failed to display correctly on the new site and had specific mobile optimisation requirements.
  3. CRM Integration: Implementing a seamless lead capture process by connecting contact forms to their Monday.com CRM.

The Solution

The Juniper Studio delivered a full-service solution, combining rapid design implementation with deep technical problem-solving and ongoing functional improvements.

  • Phase 1: Design Implementation & Rapid Launch (Sept – Oct 2023) Using the client's provided PNGs and SVGs, we quickly implemented the design, focusing on core components for the homepage, contact page, and feature animations (e.g., soft fade-in effects). We rapidly built out reusable components for pages like "About Us" and "Packages," addressing initial user interface feedback (e.g., footer alignment, icon placement) to meet the target launch date of October 31, 2023, for their industry event.
  • Phase 2: Matterport Integration & Optimisation (Nov – Dec 2023) We faced a significant technical hurdle where Virtualz's branded Matterport links failed to embed correctly. We investigated and resolved the issue, ensuring the models were visible. We then refined the mobile user experience by:
  • Adjusting the view on smaller screens to be square.
  • Adding a dedicated link to open the tour in full-screen mode, addressing client concerns about mobile functionality.
  • Diagnosing a separate issue with models crashing on iOS as an external Matterport issue, providing a clear boundary for support.
  • Phase 3: Ongoing Functionality & UX Refinements (Jan – June 2025) We continued to enhance the website based on evolving client needs:
  • CRM Integration: Successfully implemented lead capture by connecting the website's contact forms to Monday.com via Genially, similar to other client projects, to automate the sales pipeline.
  • Content Structure: Developed blog-style pages for showcasing tour examples and helped plan new service and industry-specific pages to provide more detailed information.
  • Strategic Redesign: Managed a request to remove the pre-defined "packages" and replace them with an "Our Process" page, pivoting the website's focus to encourage direct consultation with the Virtualz team.
  • Technical Support: Promptly resolved intermittent issues where published website changes were not displaying live, often due to minor build errors or missing data.
